Where have I been?

Hey guys. Long time, no see. I’ve been trying to find some time to finally jump on here and blog what my life has been like these last 3 months. It’s been different to say the least.

As a lot of you know I lost my day job at the end of 2021. The place I called home for almost 20 years. It was a huge shock that I think a lot of us saw coming but didn’t want to accept. One of the best parts about that job (aside from meeting the love of my life there and finding the best of friends) were the hours and flexibility to be able to still create my art on the side.

Rewind to the last week of December and my mother had told me of a job opportunity in the building next to her place of work. A cabinetry shop that needed someone for their color lab. Someone who has an eye for color, can work with paints and match colors. I went to school for art. I have a bachelors degree in fine arts. I was always that person that “went to college but isn’t doing anything with her degree”...until now.

I figured if I was being forced to jump I might as well try to fly. Fully switching careers (including work hours) has been a lot and a learning experience but I am adjusting and still trying to find the time to make art for you and myself on the side.
